Your tarot birth card reveals so much about you!
I explored my tarot birth cards, and was amazed at how well they described me. I wanted to share the process with you because I know many of us are curious about ourselves and want to understand why we are the way we are, what we’re passionate about, and what our soul’s purpose might be.
Discovering your own tarot birth card is easier than you might think.
First, let’s talk about tarot cards, specifically the Major Arcana. There are 23 major arcana cards, each representing different stages of life. Here is the list of all 23 major arcana's in order.
- The Fool
- The Magician
- The High Priestess
- The Empress
- The Emperor
- The Hierophant
- The Lovers
- The Chariot
- Strength
- The Hermit
- Wheel of Fortune
- Justice
- The Hanged Man
- Death
- Temperance
- The Devil
- The Tower
- The Star
- The Moon
- The Sun
- Judgement
- The World
- The Fool (Again, as it represents the completion of the journey and the start of a new cycle)
Some days we might feel driven and unstoppable like a chariot, other days we experience transformation like the Death card, and sometimes we ride the emotional rollercoaster of ups and downs like the Moon.
We experience all the arcana cards at some point, but there are two that are particularly important in our lives. These cards represent the challenges we need to overcome and the opportunities we encounter. They provide us with strength, have their weaknesses, and serve as guiding forces in our lives.
Now to find out yours:
1. Split Your Birth Year: Take your birth year and split it into two parts. For example, if you were born in 1997, it becomes 19 and 97.
2. Remember Your Birth Month: Think about your birth month. For instance, if you were born in September, it’s 9.
3.Consider Your Birth Day: Now, consider your birth day. If it’s the 8th, like mine, then it’s 8.
4.Add Them Up: Add all these numbers together.
For me, it was 19 + 97 + 9 + 8, which equals 133.
5.Break It Down: Now, we need to make sure this total is between 1 and 23, because there are 23 Major Arcana cards.
To do this, keep adding the digits together until you get a number between 1 and 23.
For me, I added 1 + 3 (first two digit) with 3 (third digit), which equals 16. Now as 16 comes between 0–23, it itself is a major arcana i.e THE TOWER.
And if you further reduce it becomes 1+6 which is 7. 7 is also a major arcana i.e. THE CHARIOT.
Keep in mind that all of us will have either two major arcana's and some even three.
If you total comes 19, it is a major arcana and 1+9= 10 will also be major arcana and 1+0 = 1 so 3 major arcana's!
Now look at the list above of the 23 major arcana's and check where you fall.
Mine was 16 and 7, which corresponds to The Tower and The Chariot respectively.
Let’s talk about what my tarot birth cards meant to me:
The Tower: So, this card might seem a bit scary at first glance, but it’s actually all about breaking down those weak spots in life. It’s like clearing out stuff that just isn’t working anymore to make space for something better. I’ve had my fair share of redoing things in life, but every time, I’ve emerged stronger than before. Relationships came and went, and I’ve learned to be grateful for the ones that didn’t serve me well. It’s like there’s some kind of divine intervention at work, shaking things up when needed, whether it’s in personal relationships or in my career. Everything might feel chaotic and uncertain at times, but I’ve always managed to stand back up, reassess, and now I’m really grateful for where I am. All those hurdles were worth it, making me stronger than ever. They made it easier for me to start anew, unafraid. Plus, they’ve brought about so many changes and new opportunities in my life.
The Chariot: Now, this card is all about willpower and determination. It’s about setting those big goals and chasing after them with everything you’ve got. People associated with The Chariot often find that they can’t stay in one place for too long; they thrive when they travel, explore, and work in locations away from their birthplace. It encourages you to explore new things and grow spiritually. It’s like speeding down a fast-paced road, pushing you to new levels and urging you to discover new paths and opportunities. The Chariot really resonates with me deeply.
I’d really encourage you to explore your own birth number and see if it connects with your life journey. Tarot isn’t just about predicting the future; it’s a tool for getting to know ourselves better and growing as individuals. So, take a moment to discover your own tarot birth card. You never know what you might learn about yourself along the way!
